Work at Matea · Candidate data

Candidate Privacy Notice.

This notice explains what data we collect through the application form, why we need it, where it is stored and how you can request access, correction or deletion.

In brief: your full application and detailed account of your experience or relevant skills are used only for recruitment and stored in a private system. Telegram receives a short notification without the detailed application text. Your application content is not sent to PostHog.

1. Scope

This notice applies to people who apply to work or collaborate with Matea. “Matea” means the team and the legal contracting party that will be identified before any employment or contractor agreement is entered into.

2. Data we collect

  • your name, Telegram username and Instagram or another social profile;
  • your country, city and time zone;
  • your experience level, detailed experience or relevant skills, and preferred shift;
  • your confirmation that you can write fluent English without a translator;
  • your confirmations regarding age, schedule and recruitment terms;
  • landing page, referrer, UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers;
  • technical data needed to protect the form from spam and repeated submissions.

3. Why we use it

  • to assess whether you meet the role and shift requirements;
  • to evaluate your experience, relevant skills, written English and communication style;
  • to contact you and arrange an interview or trial shift;
  • to record the outcome of your application and avoid duplicate processing;
  • to protect the form and the team from spam, abuse and technical attacks;
  • to meet applicable legal requirements.

Submitting an application does not create an employment or contractor relationship and does not guarantee an invitation to the next stage.

4. Storage and Telegram notification

Your full application is sent to a Vercel server function and stored as a private JSON record in Vercel Blob. Access is limited to team members who need the information for recruitment.

A restricted internal chat receives a short notification through the Telegram Bot API. It may include the form language, your name, Telegram username, social profile, experience range, English confirmation, preferred shift, time zone, source and application ID. Your detailed description of experience or skills is not copied into Telegram.

Vercel, Telegram and other technical providers may process service data on infrastructure located in other countries under their own terms.

5. Product analytics

After separate consent, PostHog may record page views, CTA clicks, form-step completion and submission outcomes. Only non-personal parameters may be used for conversion analysis, such as page version, experience range, selected shift, UTM parameters and technical error code.

We do not send your name, Telegram username, social profile, city or detailed description of experience and skills to PostHog. Autocapture and session recording are disabled. Declining analytics does not prevent you from applying.

6. Retention

Each application is scheduled for a retention review after 90 days. If you are not hired and there is no lawful reason to keep the data longer, the record should be deleted or anonymised. If you join the team, necessary information may be transferred into employment or contractor records and retained under separate rules that will be communicated to you.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, restriction, deletion or withdrawal of consent for future contact. You can make the request through the channel used by the Matea team to contact you, or through the main-site form with the note “candidate data / deletion”.

Before completing a request, the team may ask you to confirm control of the Telegram account used in your application.

8. Security and limits

The form uses origin checks, request-size and rate limits, submission-timing checks, duplicate-field protection, a honeypot and a unique submission ID. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled separately, its token is verified on the server.

Do not submit a passport, payment details, passwords, verification codes, your exact home address or other information that is not needed for the initial recruitment assessment.

Version dated 26 July 2026. This notice may be updated when the recruitment process, providers or legal requirements change.
